A Memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the PPP Agency and the “Kazakhstan Public-Private Partnership Center” Joint-Stock Company (the Republic of Kazakhstan)

Today, on the 18th of June, during the 14th Ukraine-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of public-private partnership was signed between the PPP Agency and the JSC “Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership”.

The Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership was established in July 2008, as a specialized organization on the issues of concession. The only shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. PPPs Center provides research, training and consulting services, expertise and evaluation of the implementation of investment projects. 

This memorandum will provide a basis for the consolidation of efforts of the parties to develop the public-private partnership mechanism and exchange experience. From now on, the PPP Agency and the Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership will be able to coordinate their actions regarding participation in joint research projects on PPP, as well as information exchange and organisation of special events, such as educational visits, business meetings, seminars, forums, conferences, round tables, etc., with the goal of increasing the institutional capacity of the public sector in the field of PPP.
