Representatives of the PPP Agency took part in the 5th Istanbul PPP Week 2020

From November 2 to 5, 2020, representatives of the PPP Agency participated in the 5th Istanbul PPP Week 2020, which took place this year online.

COVID-19 has dramatically affected every sector of the economy, including PPP projects. Discussions at Istanbul PPP Week covered the consequences of the pandemic, the challenges and ways to transform PPP projects with PPP professionals, representatives of international development banks (MDBs), government officials, academics and independent consultants from around the world – Reshape PPP together.

The event created a unique opportunity for more than 1,000 participants to listen to lectures by prominent speakers, study case studies from different regions and join group discussions with other PPP professionals.

Topical issues are considered:

  • implementation of sustainable PPP infrastructure projects that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
  • financing PPP projects during COVID-19 and the new role of international development banks (MDBs),
  • crisis management and PPP recovery strategies in the post-COVID era,
  • next generation PPP projects: what to expect?
The event is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Istanbul PPP CoE (Istanbul Public-Private Partnership Center of Excellence,), DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey).
